Mobile Phone

So first things first. I need a mobile phone as I'd been supplied with a phone by my former company for as long as I can remember. It's a bit of a shock after never seeing a mobile phone bill or looking at contracts for a few years to see how much these things actually cost now.

I really only need a PAYG as I'm not a heavy personal user of a mobile, mainly using it for texts to and from Lesley. She's on T-Mobile and gets great reception at home (better than I got on my works Orange contract phone) so I'll stick with that.

I've always used Ericsson/Sony Ericsson phones (partly because I did a lot of work with them and 'cause I hate Nokia and Motorola's design and handsets) so, again, I'll stick with what I know. A Sony Ericsson W810i is looking as the best bet at the moment, running on T-Mobile's TextAppeal tariff (3p per text 20p per min calls). And so it begins...

Update: As planned I picked up a W810i on T-Mobile for £69.99. Nice little phone will do me fine. Loving the FM radio and the supplied 512Mb card has been loaded with 70 odd tracks at 192kbps for my listening pleasure with room to spare. The camera is 2 Megapixels and seems to be quite good for the money. Not to sure about the control method, they seem to have done away with the 4 way joystick button (but left the button in place) so I keep pushing it while while writing a text message to add a space and nothing happens, I suppose I'll get used to it.

If you haven't got a text from me with the new number then it's because I don't have an up to date number for you.
